The New Jersey Devils played a very good road game in Atlanta last night and picked up a 3-0 win over the Thrashers officially eliminating them from the playoffs. Ilya Kovalchuk heard the boo birds in Atlanta last night and I am some what surprised, yes I know they offered him over 10 million dollars and he declined but it shows how bad he wants to win. The New Jersey Devils played the best game they have played all season last night, all 4 lines were rolling the D was doing a good job shutting down the Hawks high powered offense. Despite playing an ideal perfect game they found a way to lose 2-1 in a SO. That was a big point they fell short of last night and these standings will tell you why.

The Kings, for much of Sunday afternoon’s meeting with the New Jersey Devils, looked like a tired team that had been in a game beyond regulation just 22 hours prior. Nevertheless, the Kings roared back from a two goal deficit in the last 21 minutes of the game to win 3-2.
